Open Books Gala
Have you ever been lost in a wonderful book, had a story take you someplace unexpected, or received a letter from a farway friend? If so, you know the power of reading and writing to take you places,which is also the life-changing effect of literacy.
Open Books celebrated their 2011 gala at Catalyst Ranch. This spectacular event raised funds to help provide those kinds of experiences to thousands of students across Chicago. Specialty games were created just for this event including Mega Magnetic Poetry, Super-Size Scrabble, Travel Snaps and the Phantom Ticket Booth filled with raffle prizes. |
